Wireless Card Not Recieving Signal?

By windows 7 Posted in: windows 7 drivers

I just bought a new Rosewill RNX-G300EX wireless PCI card and installed it into my computer. I installed the drivers from the disc then I try it out and it doesn’t get a signal. I know theres a signal in my room because I’m using my laptop in there right now. I have the antenna connected too. The card is compatible with windows 7 which is what I’m using right now. Can somebody help me out please?

I can suggest a few trouble shooting steps
-try rebooting pc and this helps sometimes
    - go to control panel and click on (device manager) and check under (network adapters) to see if the device is recognized or not, if you can see two cards then it should be working.

Depending on the model of your machine you should have a hotkey to turn wireless on or off. My ASUS as that AND a physical switch in the front.
Stille, first thing I’d check is drivers. Roswell likely has newer drivers available on their website.

As Shakil has suggested does your adapter look o.k in device manager
If so I see your device has a external movable antenna so move that around as much as possible.
What is the signal strength on your laptop. Is it a good signal.
