That computer will run the Sims 2 with all expansion packs just fine. The hardware is more than powerful enough for that game.
And that’s about the right price for that kind of laptop, yeah.
As for the memory – 3072MB DDR3 Dual-Channel SDRAM Memory is more than enough. However, the video Mobile Intel GL40 Express Chipset could have been better if it is nVidia or ATI. But, overall Sims 2 will run on this type of specs.
This is good enough for a laptop. Yes, it will run Sims 2 but no, it will not run Sims 3. If it does, I will guarantee major lag. Sims 2 does not require too good hardware but Sims 3 stresses your system a lot more.
