Pretty much what I’m asking is, is it at all possible to get a replacement for my laptops dying hard drive? I’d really like to upgrade or get the exact same. Yes, I like to play demanding games on this critter. No I do not have an issue with lagged fps, don’t make statements that my computer is crap, I want help and I’m stating what I use it for. I want a relevant answer to replacing the hard-drive. I don’t have the money to get the desktop that I want yet so this laptop has to last me awhile longer, so please give hard drive suggestions according to my laptop specs because to tell you the truth I SUCK at hardware. That’s why I’m in the uncomfortable position of gaming with a laptop and not a desktop -sigh-. So I need some help here, and again please be kind to this PC it’s outdated, and this is the only problem I’ve had from it. I love it to bits like a favorite blanket. It’s like a pet!
Okay so system specs:

Again I know it’s outdated, but at the end of the day it’s all I have till I can get the desktop so please be kind ♥

You can, but the preserving all of your currently installed programs/games/data might be a problem.
If your laptop came with System Recovery CDs, then you can replace the hard drive and boot from the recovery CD- that will reinstall Windows fresh. After that you’d have to reinstall any applications/games programs etc. You could copy documents/photos/music etc back by connecting your old laptop drive via a USB enclosure.
If your system did NOT come with recovery CDs (but instead has the recovery program on a separate partition of the hard drive) that won’t work when your drive is physically failing and needs to be replaced. You’d need to contact Toshiba to obtain a Recovery CD, or use disk imaging software to create an exact image of your current drive, then restore that image to the new drive.
However if a drive is already giving you trouble, the imaging software might not be able to clone it.
Just search:
Satellite P300 replacement disk
and you will find everything you need to know.
Yes you can.
