On another system i have a Geforce 8400GS and after installing all the latest drivers i was able to watch HD (1080) movies on youtube with my only 50% CPU usage and i have an old Celeron D (Cedar Mill ) processor.
On another system i have an ATI Radeon x1600 video card and i read that it also supports HD video decoding yet after installing the latest drivers i still have a lag viewing movies on 1080p.
The first system (the one with Geforce video card ) has Windows XP running while the other has Windows 7.
So how can i use my Ati Radeon X1600 video card to view HD (1080p or near to it) movies on Windows 7

Facebook on my laptop was working perfectly yesterday. Now today, I can’t post statuses, like statuses; i can’t view my notifications, messages, or friend requests, and the sidebar won’t finish loading. Is this a computer problem, or a facebook problem? My computer’s less than a week old and is a Windows 7. I’m using my Mobile Hotspot for internet (T-Mobile).

I was given an old laptop that I could watch DVDs on. I tried to play one and I got an error message saying that the driver was set to region 1 and the disk was region 4 and that I could only change the driver region one more time. So I tried to update the drivers since the last update was done in 2001. But there was an error and the update couldn’t be done. So I decided to install windows 7 (the laptop was set up with windows xp) from an ISO file someone gave me that I had used for another laptop so I know it worked but I tried to run the setup file and I got an error message saying:
Windows could not collect information for [OSImage] since the specified image file [install.wim] does not exist.”
What is wrong with the file and what can I do to fix it?

Both my speaker,nor my headphones give sound,yet,on the bottom right corner on the screen,the small speaker symbol shows that its playing sound. I’ve QUADRUPLED checked if its connected. I’ve downloaded Realtek HD Audio Manager (not sure why,but thought it would help). I’ve also went to DEVICE MANAGER in control panel,and nothing was missing. I have an EMachines,Windows 7,ive had this computer for around 3 years now,and its the first time this is happening. please help! =P

My computer is telling me that Windows (7) is not genuine. I have contacted the computer company I purchased the computer from but they’re not doing anything to solve this. What to do? or am I screwed?

I’m not sure if my card is malfunctioning or if it’s just a poorly designed card; but I’m getting stuttering on pretty much every game I play. I recently upgraded to the 6990 from the GTX 570 but to be honest, the GTX worked so much better with games.
Also, Crysis especially seems to have a lot of strange graphical glitches like random colours popping up on the screen.
I spent almost 700$ on this card and now I think I made a bad purchase. Nothing seems to be working like it should.
I meet the recommended specs and all my drivers are updated.

So I’ve heard that the stock cooler for the i52500K is terrible so im currently looking for an aftermarket cooler for it. I’ll probably do some overclocking nothing extremes though so what is a non expensive but also good cooler for an i52500K also here are my current specs on my pc and also would 4x2GB ram be better or would it be the same just curious

I have recently installed a Creative Soundblaster Audigy SE (oem) sound card and Windows 7 detects it and I have been able to have music and sound output from it but almost none of the Creative software that came with it can detect it, they all say “The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will now exit.”. Also, I’ve had windows automatically search and install the latest driver and it claims it is up to date, just to make sure I have searched, myself, for the latest driver and downloaded it but when it brings up the installation progress bar it says it cant detect the card either!
Now like I said I already have sound from it but as a sound quality enthusiast I really want to get the EAX settings working and the other quality programs.
So I have tried installing drivers, reinstalling the hardware, reinstalling the software and disabling on-board audio.
Also I have tried running the Diagnostics tool but that cant detect the card either, I am all out of ideas so any help is greatly appreciated.
